Leaving Las Vegas
AroView: Staggering ‘downward-spiral’ drama set on a Las Vegas strip of neon lights, broken dreams and drunken oblivion. Nicolas Cage drinks himself to death, and won a deserved Oscar for his feverish, raw-nerves immersion in the role. Director Mike Figgis also contributes some fine jazz.
