AroView: The head-turning directing debut of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Annie Baker, told in chapters over the course of an early-90s summer in rural Massachusetts.

The film charts the painfully real and complex relationship between an acupuncture therapist and her awkward 11-year-old daughter while she tries to manage a series of frustrations in her personal life. It’s mix of sincerity and cynicism might catch some off guard, but others will wholly surrender to its distinctive, bohemian vibe and two mesmerizing performances.
