AroView: Quentin Tarantino follows up the fireworks of PULP FICTION with a laid back ode to lowlife dreamers and schemers that reclines comfortably into a narrative of criminal cross and double-cross.
A typical QT cast of knowns and forgottens jostle for a dubious second-chance in a universe under the shadow of middle-aged loss. Eased by a hand-picked collection of 70s soul smoothies, and in fact an adaptation of Elmore Leonard’s novel, “Rum Punch”.
A stylish and loving homage to 70’s exploitation movies with an absolutely incredible performance by Pam Grier in the lead role.
