If You Meet Sartana... Pray for Your Death

The first in a series of five “Sartana” spaghetti Westerns starring Gianni Garko as the titular gunfighter and gambler who uses mechanical gadgets and seemingly supernatural powers to trick his rivals. The tone is playful and fun-loving in spite of a high body count, anticipating the comedy western style of the more famous ‘Trinity’ movies. This one co-stars Klaus Kinski.

Synopsis: Several dignitaries organize an insurance swindle by hiring a Mexican gang to steal a strong-box, and an American gang to kill the Mexicans. A mysterious stranger named Sartana invites himself into the middle of this conflict, revolving around rival gangs, the town’s bigwigs and the search for the missing loot.
