AroView: Obsessive-compulsive Jack Nicholson has his fear and loathing neutered by the straight-shooting solo-Mum waitress, Helen Hunt, in this affable, sitcom-ish spin on ‘A Christmas Carol’.
The pair are not exactly a match made in heaven but indeed that’s the whole point, and it works. Both picked up an Oscar for the trouble, though they’re altogether out-disciplined by a frisky wire-haired pooch!
