Angel Mine

1h 8m Drama 1979

AroView: A punk, Bunuel-esque social satire in which a married couple in Pakuranga, Auckland escape their material lives through anarchic fantasies, staged as dream-like parodies of TV ads. Writer-director David Blyth’s first feature film explores themes of consumerism, materialism, religion and the body in this brilliantly bizarre cinematic abstraction.
