The Slumber Party Massacre
AroView: A quintessentail 80s slasher movie set around a group of teenage girls whose overnight get-together, spiced by the presence of boyfriends, becomes a shivering, blood-drenched disaster at the hands of a power-drill killer.
Feminist author Rita Mae Brown wrote the screenplay as a slasher-film parody but it was shot a straight horror by editor-turned director Amy Jones, displaying its ironic streak only very late in the piece. The film does contain some intentional humour, and some not so much!
