When famous DJ Alan Partridge’s radio station is taken over by a new media conglomerate, it sets in motion a chain of events which see Alan having to work with the police to defuse a potentially violent siege.

AroView: Coogan’s mercilessly self-interested alter-ego takes no prisoners when he and his stodgy old guard are threatened with redundancy by the vapid new blood - his aging Irish sidekick (Colm Meaney) articulating similar indignation with a shotgun. Fans of Coogan and those of his generation will snigger with recognition all the way and then collapse in stitches in acknowledgment of what is surely the greatest penis joke ever committed to film.
