AroView: Evocative Scottish period drama set in the 90’s rave scene, following two teenagers who try to sneak into an illegal rave party in Livingston.

Filmed in black-and-white with one sequence bursting in colour, this explores the impact of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, which was a crack down on large public gatherings across the UK in response to the emerging popularity of rave parties, and stigma around the misunderstood style of electronic music that characterised them. A passionate depiction of this time, filled with period detail and music of the era, with a tender coming-of-age story at its heart.

“A truly heartfelt rites-of-passage tale — an immersive, intoxicating portrayal of the rave scene at its peak.” ~EMPIRE
