AroView: New girl on campus Anna Kendrick joins an all-female a cappella group determined to win the male-dominated national competition in this peppy (and since iconic) college musical.
Edgier than GLEE, but still of the feel-good variety, the film benefits most from its comedic players (Rebel Wilson, in particular) and alternative musical numbers, which forgo polish and production for inventive harmonies and ‘mash-ups’ of atypical pop classics.
