AroView: Singer Stan Walker plays a humble potato picker who dreams of performing the opening act to Bob Marley and the Wailers’ 1979 Auckland concert, in this warmly-hued Maori nostalgia piece.

Full of heart and ‘mana’, this admirable debut from writer-director Kahi brings out the best in Mr. Walker’s true talent during its assured musical passages, compensating somewhat for a lack of definition in the drama.
