Finding Vivian Maier

AroView: Doing for art world what SEARCHING FOR SUGAR MAN did for music, this arresting documentary discovers a nanny whose previously unknown cache of 100,000 photographs earned her a posthumous reputation as a master street photographer.

Co-directed by twenty-something John Maloof, who himself made the astonishing discovery at a junk auction, his presence is a little subjective and distracting, but his inheritance is significant and entirely worthy of public celebration.
