Drop Dead Fred
AroView: Kooky comedy with Rik Mayall extending his hyperactive YOUNG ONES persona as the imaginary childhood friend of a grown-up woman (Phoebe Cates).
When Elizabeth loses both her husband and her job, she uses “Fred” to escape from her trauma, which only creates more chaos and mayhem, as she desperately attempts to win back her husband at the same time. The silly stuff is offset by a handful of inspired set pieces.
