Car Wash
AroView: This wholly enjoyable, naturalistic ensemble comedy set in a Los Angeles car wash makes a classic seventies timepiece that has perhaps been lost in the shadow of the stonking disco theme song by Rose Royce.
It’s both feelgood and funky with all characters exuding optimism - even the political one - and there’s wonderful scene stealing moments from Richard Pryor, George Carlin and hot pop trio, The Pointer Sisters.
