Shaker Run

AroView: This cult petrol-head film sees a Kiwi scientist (Lisa Harrow) steal a biological weapon that some mercenaries are keen to get their hands on, so she enlists a couple of American daredevil drivers (Cliff Robertson and ex-pop star Leif Garrett) to help her escape.

It’s a road movie that keenly exploits our South Island vistas ala “Goodbye Pork Pie”, filled with car chases, impossible stunts, and some exciting on-the-hood camerawork. And look out for Ian Mune’s CIA agent and a cameo by singer Shona Laing.
